If I could only control it, that would fix me

One of the most challenging things we would ever do in recovery is learning how to control in a healthy manner. One of the things that it says in the big book of Alcoholics Anonymous is “lack of control, that was our dilemma.” It was not or was not intended for us number to control it is just from an unhealthy standpoint we were trying to control everything but our drinking and or using. We thought if we could control the things outside of us that which was inside would come back within our control. That was the furthest thing from the truth. The truth is and lives until we were able to control our desire for alcohol or drugs and other deviant behavior nothing else, we try to control whatever proves satisfactory. Once we set up on a journey of recovery, we then begin to understand which we can control and that which we either cannot or should not control period I hope you enjoyed this podcast. If there is anything that I can do for you, please let me know what that looks like. In the meantime, be blessed.

Robert is the Recovery Guy. Getting clean and sober on April 25, 1986 has given me the insight and practical skill set to not only stay sober, but to also re-invent myself to the person I always wanted to become. Showing others how to do this is my life goal.
