I was listening to Jay Shetty of the “On Purpose” podcast and Jay stated the reason it is titled On Purpose is that is how he conducts his life. I loved this so much because just like Jay, so do I. People often ask me how do I show up day in and day out as this excited person. I tell them I am who I am by design. I am this way On Purpose and so when Jay shared that today in his podcast I instantly related. We all are the we are ON PURPOSE. It is just that some of our purposes are healthier than others. Think about it.
Which brings me to today’s topic. It is “Becoming the Best Version of You”. I heard an On Purpose podcast with Liza Koshy and it was entitled Becoming the Person You Should Have Been. Please listen. I think it will resonate with you. As a springboard, I thought I would share my thoughts regarding something in common to that amazing conversation between Jay and Liza.
So often people lose their way and in doing get stuck along the way. Sometimes we want to become somebody else because we are so tired of being who we are. Although I understand that we are better off being satisfied with who we are, yet not settling for where we are at. We need to know what we became, take personal inventory as to who we could/should have become, and then what steps do we need to take ODAAT to achieve that goal.
Do we know someone who has achieved what we are hoping to accomplish?
Are we willing to risk our comfort knowing that what we are doing is
currently not moving us forward?
- Decide you will become the person should have been
- Have a vision of how to get there
- Become the owner of a never-give-up attitude.
- Remove the naysayers and self-doubt while enlisting the help of someone who has achieved what you desire.
- Believe that have value and develop a belief in a power that can do for you what you have been unable to do for yourself.
- Set out on the journey
