One of the foundational components to recovery is found in our words matching our deeds. Baked into the cake of what we do is what we shall receive. The amazing biblical phrase comes to mind “As we sow so we shall reap.” When we were in our addictive state, we failed to see the connection. We were always the victim based on things out of our control. When we enter recovery, we begin to see the connection between our actions and the results we were receiving. We learned that in order to change the result we needed to change what we did.
