If there’s anything that I have learned in my recovery it is how I personally identify. I believe that self-talk is the most powerful talk on the planet. It doesn’t matter what someone says or does not say what matters is what I agreed to. Regardless of how I am seen by others what matters most is my personal identity. Early in my sobriety, I met a person name Will. He went by the name Slow Will And he introduced himself as Slow Will a happy, grateful, recovered alcoholic. This is what we are going to discuss today. Slow Will had moved to a Personal Identity that Mattered so much to him and even me that I adopted it for myself.

Happy is defined as delighted, pleased, or glad, as over a particular thing: to be happy to see a person.

characterized by or indicative of pleasure, contentment, or joy: a happy mood; a happy frame of mind.

willing to be helpful, as with assistance, a contribution, or participation:

Grateful is warmly or deeply appreciative of kindness or benefits received; thankful:

Recovered means to get back or regain (something lost or taken away): to make up for or make good (loss, damage, etc., to oneself). to regain the strength, composure, balance, or the like, of (oneself).

When my Personal Identity aligns with this type of thinking it Matters more than can ever be imagined.

Thank you for supporting our recovery movement.

Robert is the Recovery Guy. Getting clean and sober on April 25, 1986 has given me the insight and practical skill set to not only stay sober, but to also re-invent myself to the person I always wanted to become. Showing others how to do this is my life goal.
