Saving is Saving
Sometimes saving others looks a lot like saving yourself. I will never forget reading an Al-Anon piece of literature that said, “My mom saved us when she saved herself.”

I refer to myself lovingly as a recovered control freak.
The next time you face an unforeseen circumstance, COVID 19, job loss, or a loved one, don’t focus on what you wish was different, excuse behavior, or deny the presence of the circumstance.
