The goal is to stop the uncontrollable from controlling. Sometimes the best was to respond to the uncontrollable is to make the necessary changes that make those aspects irrelevant in our life. We can diffuse/neutralize or remove them or we can leave them. In the past, we lived a life that was defined by the controllable things we did not attend to and the people and places we engaged in that would always be uncontrollable. Once we enter into recovery and realize there is another way to live we take an inventory of what should and should not be in our life. Once we define that then we can eliminate the things we can’t control and control the things that belong. It is a required process to living an aligned life.

Robert is the Recovery Guy. Getting clean and sober on April 25, 1986 has given me the insight and practical skill set to not only stay sober, but to also re-invent myself to the person I always wanted to become. Showing others how to do this is my life goal.
