Steps to Recovery – Steps 8 and 9 is not for the faint of heart. It is one thing to have the courage to be totally honest and write down who I have harmed. I take it to another level by actually approaching those I have harmed and asking for forgiveness and understanding. If someone does accept our amends all the better. We have to be prepared for the times they won’t receive us. When that happens we have to be satisfied that we are doing the right thing. That in itself has to be our reward.

Robert is the Recovery Guy. Getting clean and sober on April 25, 1986 has given me the insight and practical skill set to not only stay sober, but to also re-invent myself to the person I always wanted to become. Showing others how to do this is my life goal.
